As with all city council meetings, it will  be reshown on Ch. 27 at other times as well, and will be archived on the City Council  website.<\/p>\n<div>The City Council agenda for tonight&#8217;s meeting includes:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Study Session on Proposals to contract out our <strong>Fire Services<\/strong> <strong>(starts at 6:30 pm)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Discussion on the new <strong>LED street lights<\/strong> around town<\/li>\n<li>Design for the <strong>new park<\/strong> to be located next to Stanford Ave. between Hollis and Doyle (which includes a dog run in the plans)<\/li>\n<li>Appointment of a new <strong>Planning Commissioner<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Update from Ohana, a new non-profit that is working to support <strong>ECAP<\/strong> and other needs of the neediest in town<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sustainable Communities Strategies<\/strong> update (this is the regional plan from MTC for transportation and land use going forward to address greenhouse gas emissions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>All of these items are discussed in a bit more detail on Mayor West&#8217;s <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/emeryvillewest.blogspot.com\/2012\/02\/what-is-state-of-city.html\" target=\"_blank\">blog post here<\/a>. She invites residents to come, listen and share perspectives at the Council meeting.<\/div>\n<p><strong>More News from Mayor Jennifer West<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>At <strong>5:30 pm<\/strong>, <strong>Feb. 28<\/strong>, the City Council will hold a special session designed  to look at long-term visions for Emeryville in light of the loss of  redevelopment. This session will help the Council to set priorities  as it begins the budget process for the next two years. Mayor West discusses <strong>redevelopment<\/strong> further on her<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/emeryvillewest.blogspot.com\/2012\/01\/end-of-redevelopment-as-we-know-it.html\" target=\"_blank\"> blog here<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_2_0_83_1328642998181552\">Finally, the Mayor and City Manager are planning to <strong>attend neighborhood or Homeowners Association meetings<\/strong> this spring to meet more Emeryville residents and answer any  questions they have about the city.
